This workshop will help you learn how to create your consulting engine—what you need to create a consulting business that works for you. You'll learn how to start and maintain your independent consulting practice, even if you decide you want to postpone your consulting business.

What You Will Learn
The curriculum:
- Week 1: You define your unique value and debrief with me by email. (No cohort-based meeting. Instead, you will start this work as soon as you register.)
- Week 2: Based on your unique value, identify your ideal clients and review your business model. This is the week we start cohort-based meetings.
- Week 3: Plan your content marketing so you can attract your ideal clients.
- Week 4: Build your presence with active marketing. Create your active marketing plan.
- Week 5: Prepare for discovery calls. In our weekly meeting, role-play discovery calls and what to do in difficult situations.
- Week 6: Review the proposal template and how to create more options.
- Week 7: Manage your intellectual property, including writing and speaking for others. Final debrief.
After each week, I will offer you specific and personal feedback, depending on what you wrote to me.
That's the 7-week workshop. We will touch on relationship-building in all of the sessions.
I offer this workshop in two forms:
- As a public, cohort-based workshop.
- As a private, one-on-one workshop, We will focus on your business, your way.

Logistics
Want to work with me one-on-one? Contact me, and we can start at a mutually agreeable date. At that time, we will set a weekly debrief time. I will send you Zoom invitations for our debriefs. You'll have access to our Slack community, and your debrief videos.
Once each year, I will offer a cohort-based workshop, limited to 12 people. In 2023, I anticipate I will this workshop will run from Sept 26, 2023 – Oct 31, 2023. (Your pre-work week will start Sept 19, 2023. Right now, I plan that our debrief meetings will be on Tuesdays, noon, Eastern. I will flex that time if many Europeans want to join the cohort. ) We'll use our Slack community to discuss issues, challenges, and questions. You have lifetime access to the Slack community, plus the videos we create in our debriefs.
Outcomes You Can Expect
- A decision-based approach to assessing and creating new opportunities. What do you want to offer and when? When should you say no or yes to which opportunities? How to create a fee structure that works for you.
- Learn which kinds of marketing work for you, how to market on a regular basis, and feel good about your marketing.
- Create proposals that have a good chance of getting to a Yes. And, be happy about whether or not you get the business.
- How to ask for referrals.

Private, one-on-one workshop:
The fee to work with me one-on-one is $7000. That includes your seven weeks of work plus the six debrief meetings with me. If you're interested, email me. We will agree on the timing and how you will pay.
- If you want additional coaching, each additional four weeks of coaching is $2500.
- If you plan to or currently work with a colleague, you are eligible for a 50% discount off the second person's registration. (That discount does not extend to additional coaching.)
If you have a small consulting company and you want everyone in the workshop, you and I will negotiate a reasonable fee.
Public cohort, limited to twelve people:
The fee for the public cohort is $2500. That includes your seven weeks of work plus the six debrief meetings with the cohort. If you want additional private coaching, each additional four weeks of coaching is $2500.
If you plan to or currently work with a colleague, you are eligible for a 50% discount off the second person's registration. (That discount does not extend to additional coaching.)
