		<description>I would say that the manager whose primary mission is to &quot;ship the product&quot; MAY take the time to coach employees if he or she realizes that the organization may need to stay in business and ship other products. I don&#039;t believe that it is correct to assume that goal directed managers are short sighted. There are primary missions and there are enabling strategies, and staff development enables shipping the product.</description>
