Effective Public Speaking Has a Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page

Effective Public SpeakingCover-300I've been diligently working on my Kickstarter for Effective Public Speaking. I have learned a ton about graphics, creating an inviting Kickstarter, and organizing rewards.

Yes, I am acting as a product manager for my book. (All you product managers—no one respects you enough. No one. Launching anything is quite the challenge.)

Here is the pre-launch page: https://www.jrothman.com/speakingkickstarter. (That will redirect back to the book page when the Kickstarter is over.)

Now, if you've new to Kickstarter, here's how it works:

  1. In the pre-launch phase, people sign up for Kickstarter to email them when I launch. The only “commitment” here is for Kickstarter to send you an email.
  2. Once I launch the Kickstarter, the people who know about the campaign choose whether to back it. As part of that, I've offered my 3 books about content marketing as options.
  3. When the Kickstarter is over, I fulfill the ebooks, audio, and print versions for the relevant backers.

Right now, I'm asking for you to allow Kickstarter to notify you. That's all.

Why I'm Using Kickstarter to Launch Effective Public Speaking

Wondering why I'm using Kickstarter?

First, I am always experimenting with the writing part of my business. So, partly out of curiosity. What would a Kickstarter do for this book?

Second, I'm not big on book launches. I love book birthdays, but book launches? Ugh. That's too much like promotion, not content marketing.

I love content marketing, where I get to share my expertise with you. Now, you might not want or need that expertise now. Or even in the future. But if you read my writing, you're probably interested in some of what I have to say.

That's why I'm using Kickstarter. I want to find more people who enjoy my writing and might be interested in what I have to say. That's it.

If you want to follow along with me on this new experiment, please do sign up for the pre-launch page: https://www.jrothman.com/speakingkickstarter. There's no commitment to buy. The only commitment is for you to allow Kickstarter to email you when I launch the campaign. So, want to play along with me?

Thanks for considering my new Kickstarter.
