Many managers want organizational or enterprise agility. And they think they can get predictability along with agility.
Managers can get predictability. Or they can get agility. They cannot get both, not at the same time. And that's because predictability requires very long feedback loops. Agility requires short feedback loops so everyone can change their plans and their work.
If you want more planning and predictability, this is not the book for you. However, if you want more agility and more delivery—even if you cannot implement everything I recommend—this is the book for you.
