The Transcript:
This is 60 Seconds of Writing in Public with Johanna Rothman for September 18, 2026, where I read an excerpt of just a minute of some writing in progress.
This is from the Continual Planning book.
If you worry that aging is preventing you, your team, or your organization from thriving, look for this data:
- If you work as part of a cross-functional project/product/feature team, how old is the oldest item you are supposed to review on a regular basis? Include your backlog, any defect-tracking system, and anything you personally are supposed to deliver to someone else. If you are a product leader responsible for roadmaps, include the roadmap, too. Look at the range of aging. My clients often have a range of a week to decades. For now, just collect this data.
