  1. All weel and good. But how does one recognize good judgment? Only after the fact, based on results? How does one learn to exercise good judgment? The statement, by itself, says very little.

  2. How do you recognize good decisions (judgments)?

    – are based on sound, deeply-held principles
    – directed by a strong moral compass (long-term view)
    – lead to consensus rather than divisiveness

    How do you learn to exercise good judgment?

    You can learn by studying history. You can learn from experience. The tuition for the former is much less than the latter.
